Undertaker And Batista Pick Up Victory Over Mr. Kennedy and Finlay
Friday, April 13th, 2007
On a night when The Undertaker and Batista found out they would be facing each other in a Wrestlemania 23 rematch for the Heavyweight Championship Title, the two would have to compete together in a tag team match against Mr. Kennedy and Finlay. Originally, Mr. Kennedy and Finlay were suppose to compete earlier in the broadcast however Mr. Kennedy apologized to Finlay for attacking Hornswoggle. Last week, Finlay attacked Mr. Kennedy after his match up from behind. Finlay accepted Mr. Kennedy’s apology, and Mr. Kennedy said it was his fault and took full responsibility for his actions and deserved the attack from Finlay last week. Theodore Long then came out and told the two superstars that since they were not wrestling each other tonight, they would have to face Batista and The Undertaker. Before the match got underway, Batista and The Undertaker stared each other down. The Undertaker started the match off dominating both Finlay and Mr. Kennedy. With every move, he would glance to Batista to show him that would be him at Backlash. When Batista entered the ring, he did the same to The Undertaker. Both wrestlers tried to out do each other. Finlay and Mr. Kennedy seem to be on the same page throughout the match, double teaming at times. The end result was Batista putting Mr. Kennedy in the Batista Bomb ending in a victory for Batista and The Undertaker. Friday Night Smackdown went off the air with a stare down between The Undertaker and Batista.

On the first Friday Night Smackdown since Wrestlemania 23, The Undertaker entered the ring for the first time as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Shortly after his entrance to the ring, the former World Heavyweight Champion Batista’s music came on. Out came Batista straight to the ring in which the new champion The Undertaker stood tall. Batista had one thing on his mind. He said 5 Words … “Congratulations, I want a rematch”. The Undertaker responded with a nod. Batista left the ring immediately. Shortly, King Booker stormed to the ring and hit The Undertaker from behind. The Undertaker countered King Booker’s attack and threw him to the outside of the ring. Then he removed all the monitors from the announce table. He picked King Booker up and drove King Booker’s head into the table with a Tombstone. As a result of The Undertakers retaliation, King Booker got injured and suffered a sprain and a contusion in his neck and will be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.
