Is CM Punk Really A Member Of The New Breed?
Wednesday, April 18th, 2007
ECW kicked off last night with the Elijah Burke of the New Breed introducing CM Punk as its latest member. Rob Van Dam of The Originals interrupted the introduction from Elijah Burke. He directed the question to CM Punk as to why he wanted to join the New Breed. This began an argument between Rob Van Dam and Elijah Burke and led to the Main Event for the night. Throughout the show, CM Punk was giving pointers to other members of the New Breed. Elijah Burke told him he appreciated the pointers however he must “fall in line”. The match kicked off and both opponents were close to pinfalls at one time. Towards the end of the match, the referee was knocked out. Both opponents were on the mat. CM Punk was at ringside. Elijah Burke told CM Punk to throw him the chair to use on Rob Van Dam. CM Punk slid the chair accross the ring hard enough to get to Rob Van Dam. Rob Van Dam got the chair and used it on Eiljah Burke. He got the ref, and covered Elijah Burke for the win. The show went off the air with Elijah Burke on the mat and CM Punk bending over him saying he was sorry.

Tonight on Monday Night Raw live from Italy, Vince McMahon kicked off the show by asking Umaga to come to the ring. He then showed how Umaga, Shane McMahon, and himself beat up Bobby Lashley last week on Raw and began to say how Bobby Lashley did not make the trip to Italy. He then offered any wrestling superstar to come down to the ring to face Umaga. Nobody responded. Mr. McMahon then offered the fans an open invitation to take on Umaga for the Intercontinental Championship Belt. Vince picked a fan the front row of the crowd. Santino Marella, the fan in which Mr. McMahon picked immediately began hitting Umaga to everyones surprise. Mr. McMahon then stopped the match and stated the match is now a non disqualification match. Umaga immediately went on the attack and before long was dominating his opponent. All of a sudden, Bobby Lashley rushed to the ring and cleaned house. He hit Umaga over the head 3 times with a chair making Umaga wobbly on his feet. He then ran against the ropes to hit him with a spear. Lashley grabbed Marella, and placed him on top of Umaga for the pin. Since the match was a no disqualification match, Santino Marella is the new Intercontinental Champion.
Bobby Lashley made his professional wrestling debut on September 23, 2005 in which he defeated Simon Dean on Smackdown. He showed the fans his power when he dominated the match. Fans took a liking to the former two-time Armed Forces Champion and a 2002 Silver Medalist at the Military World Championship. Lashley soon rose to the top when he moved to ECW November 16, 2006. He signed a contract for the last spot of the Extreme Elimination Chamber match for the ECW Championship at December to Dismember. After going through the Big Show and Test, Lashley was crowned the first ever African American ECW Heavyweight Champion. Since he won the title, he defended it successfully against both Raw and Smackdown superstars such as Rob Van Dam, Big Show, Test, Kenny Dykstra, and Mr. Kennedy. Lashley is also the first person ever to break Chris Master’s Masterlock Challenge. Bobby Lashley’s most recent match was against Umaga at Wrestlemania 23. He represented Donald Trump and Vince McMahon was represented by Umaga in a Hair vs Hair Match. Bobby Lashley picked up the victory and assisted in shaving Vince McMahon’s hair. Currently, Bobby Lashley is the ECW Heavyweight Champion.
